The Death and Birth of My Mother and I
- I enjoyed reading it. A lovely story about a mother and her daughter (proofreader/editor, retired journalist)
- Very easy to read. I can see why hospice would be interested in it as this story is told from a relative’s perspective (clinical nurse)
- The process of dying of the mother and her daughter’s experience described beautifully and respectfully. At times I read this with tears in my eyes (retired, traveller)

I am absolutely thrilled to announce the publication of my new book The Death and Birth of My Mother and I.
I have been extremely privileged and am very grateful to have been able to be by my mother’s side in the process of her transition between the diagnosis of metastatic melanoma and the moment of her passing – a once in a lifetime experience I will never forget.
Writing about the experience of six intense months filled with emotion has allowed me to process the whole event from astonishing disbelief to the inevitable outcome: the miracle of death – or arguably, the metaphorical birth of my mother as well as myself.
I hope you will enjoy my story. A very personal perspective based on diary notes by my mother as well as my own.
To celebrate the launch of my book I am giving away three copies, otherwise available for purchase in paperback and Kindle eBook on Amazon.
