Exploring the place where I stand in the world today, this painting came into being by a mental journey into the past, having lived in the Northern, and at present, in the Southern Hemisphere. As well as a physical, the journey was also a spiritual and Universal one, knowing we are part of a constellation – here the night sky as it was on the date I left for New Zealand – all contained into one Galaxy, defying nationality and culture.
