Finally the launch of HOMELANDS THEN & NOW – Enlightening stories from migrants – Journeys and experiences from motherlands to New Zealand has happened after a period of interviews, transcriptions, writing, editing and layout plus the design of the book cover. So rewarding to see the book come to life in print!

This book is a free publication by Migrant Connections Taranaki and is readable as a softcover through our public libraries (currently available at Puke Ariki Library in New Plymouth) and secondary schools. You will also be able to read this book in PDF format on our Migrant Connections website, here.

You can read the article of the book launch on Stuff here.

BUYING PROPERTY IN NZ FRONT PAGE

Well as they say nothing is for nothing!

Yes I ventured out for a year and “had a go” at selling real estate. In that time I was invited as a speaker at Migrant Connections Taranaki in New Plymouth to talk about buying property in New Zealand.

On the night I handed out my presentation in booklet form to some twenty migrants and some representatives of Migrant Connections Taranaki and Citizens Advice Bureau who loved it so much that they found it worthy to hand out to future clients.

Reason being I managed to explain in simple English some common terms used in the Sale and Purchase process which is appealing language wise as well as visually.

I have now published this booklet on Amazon.com where you will be able to purchase it as a paperback, kindle, and more, all around the world! It’s a 24 page booklet which includes a few blank pages for note taking and comes with glossy cover.

Perfect for anyone considering a move to New Zealand as well as the true and blue Kiwi first home buyer.
