Ingrid van Amsterdam is a multimedia creative and writer whose work emphasises time and space and the relativity thereof. With a background in interviewing and auric magnetic energy healing, Ingrid also has an interest in nature, culture, and humanity as a whole. She is most in her element during the organic and creative process in everything she undertakes.

Born in the Netherlands in 1965, Ingrid was surrounded by art and photography every day from an early age by the influence of her parents and brother, artists/photographers. Her involvement with the arts was only a matter of time – with inevitable sidetracks (“off” course!) on the way! Ingrid’s writings include poetry and other musings as well as non-fiction in various genres.

Ingrid moved to New Zealand in 1988, and graduated in the Diploma of Creative Technologies and Business Heritage, Culture and Sustainability at the Western Institute of Technology Taranaki, New Plymouth.

Her biggest and most rewarding project by far is her magazine BiograView, Perspectives from around the globe, dubbed by the Southern Institute of Technology “BiograView represents multicultural New Zealand in the best way possible.”
